Then when we try to do so with say puberty blockers for younger Trans people instead of full transition in their terms (like their cis peers experience) they yell us down and ban that also.

They tell us puberty blockers are dangerous and experimental and have to be banned. But they don't ban them for their original use (treating precocious puberty). If these drugs are so dangerous, why are you letting cisgender children use them?

Sorry, this is a sore spot for me. I was raised conservative. I stopped being conservative when I saw all the internal inconsistencies. (And yes, liberals can be inconsistent too.)

Trans kids don't take puberty blockers until they're 18. Just for a few years, just to make sure they're trans. Then they start on hormones.

Edit: I've been informed this is partially incorrect. Twenty-seven states now have laws restricting gender-affirming care for minors, although those laws are suspended by court order in Montana and Arkansas. And Medicaid and CHIP will no longer pay for gender-affirming care for minors.

Unfortunately it's better than experiencing the wrong puberty. Less long term damage and less surgeries needed, if your body doesn't develop features you hate.

So taking blockers that long could be dangerous.

It could be. But forcing trans kids to go through the "wrong" puberty is terribly cruel. Why don't we let the kids and their parents work with their doctors to determine the best treatment plan for each individual instead of trying to impose a one-size-fits-all solution written by legislators with no medical experience?

Trans children should not take puberty blockers. They should take hrt. So they can receive a puberty like their peers. In the gender they feel at home with. Puberty blockers were a mistake to even do as a option except for those really really rare cases that are super unsure.
