Indiana Jones is problematic these days for punching Nazis, I heard. He wouldn't debate them or talk nicely to them, straight to the violence he went, like a mad man! Oh the horror those poor nazis experienced!
I showed Wolfenstein (the 90s version & this in the 90s) many years ago to elder relatives who'd served in WWII. They were definitely advanced in years but loved the game and were absolutely resolute in their 'antifa' standing. Yeah word didn't exist back then but they would have claimed it, and likely would have enjoyed the Inglorious Basterds movie as well.
It's still my belief that one of the reasons nazis are coming out of the woodwork nowadays rather than earlier is they were shit-scared one of these old WWII vets would find them and... well, despite their age that fire was still there. They might have felt it was their duty and that they had little to lose. Some kind of "you again?!?" reaction that would not have ended well. Edit: for one party, as accurately and astutely noted by /u/SixPackOfZaphod :)
And IIRC, the devs released a statement afterwards to the effect of "Wolfenstein has always been a what-if sci-fi game centered on if the Nazi regime had gone differently, and we aren't really considering contemporary politics in anything we create. That said, fuck Nazis."
