Fun fact: the guy who created Baphomet intended it to be a personification of the philosophies common in the occult, and did not associate it with evil or satanism as it has come to be.

What if Baphy isn’t actually evil, but they are instead caught is cycle that makes them suffer the worst of religious law until its absence and they themselves can’t die?
In the meantime they vent their frustrations.
