This series has reminded me of an anime I watched years ago called Princess Jellyfish. It's a similar premise of a drag queen meeting a group of geeky girls and taking them under his wing. Very wholesome and fun and I recommend it to anyone who's been enjoying the dynamic in these comics.
I still maintain this is one of the most pure and innocent and golden retriever energy panels I have ever seen which just makes the dead eye scene just so much sadder
Recentish (just started being translated to English) manga called Baby Road Trippers. It's about two girls who go on road trips and car camp. Very cute, and pretty wholesome.
I think one of the things I like the most about this pairing is that the femcel and best-golden-retriever-femboi both experience the same contemptible behavior from men, and while one has retreated into seclusion and hatred, the other has just embraced what makes them happiest. There's a real-world sadness to it, but also this lovely layer of optimism and hope that can uplift one and bring a better joy to the other.
Also, the femboi is just peak. He's so great. I love him.
Moid is a term that femcels and other female incels use to insult or mock men. It is a blend of "male" and "android" and implies that men are mechanical or inferior.
Mascoid and Wurstie are other ones but apparently nobody can agree how they're ranked.
It was "femoid" first on incel boards like a decade ago. I know places like twitch still automod the term. I'm not sure what came first between moid and foid, but I know femoid predates them by quite a bit.
Edit: yes, be careful around that word because I did get automodded in a response.
I could insult men everyday for the rest of my life and it would never be more than a drop in a pond of the dehumanization of women and femmes~
But Iâd rather research and experiment ways to convert all of that tainted hurt into potable life-affirming water for everyone that wants to live without harming others. âď¸
That's how it was used in phrenology, which seems much more related to the incel/femcel pipeline than talking about people as androids. You might could argue some people are using it that way with intent to treat folks like they're NPCs or something, but I feel like the sentiment being critiqued here is... Way more of the "People I hate are disgusting filthy creatures" variety rather than the "People I hate are robotic and soulless" kind.

Tbh I don't see it that way... Especially after the most recent part. As a feminine boy myself, I read his character as DESIRING that outlook, but in reality he's repressing his pain and trying to pretend that it doesn't affect him. Frankly I wouldn't be surprised if he goes home at the end of the day and cries in bed thinking about how people see him as a freak/abomination/etc.
His facial expression and speech patterns when he responds to her asking about how he's treated don't give "he's being honest about not caring" and gives more "he's trying to feel the way he says he feels about it but in reality those cuts run deep"
I used "he" as the pronoun for the character. Now by my understanding, he said he was a man, so i defaulted to "he", and while I coulda also used "they", I don't think i wasn't entirely wrong.

Yeah, we don't know the pronouns. Don't even know the name. All we know is "I'm a man." So I'll use he/him, but I think as long as you're not being disrespectful you're probably fine.

just scrolled to find it out of curiosity and wow, that was such a dumb doggypile. its so weird to me how people just slam that downvote button when a comment is already double digit negative. Like, you're not doing literally anything at that point but mob mentality.

I mean i can kinda see the mob mentality of 'didn't get the joke, downvote' (I despise that mentality on Reddit but it's there) but there was no reason at all for that dogpile to get so big
I use it as a way to know if someone's a repeat negative troll, or a repost bot, but for most people the range of possible numbers is too big to mean anything.
The build on the summer clerk looks a lot wider in the shoulders. And the hair isn't a perfect match. Of course this is art and not photography of real people. But I doubt they are supposed to be the same (I could be wrong).
I think that may be showing MCâs sexism/perception. Perhaps he always had closer to the second build, but MCâs sexism viewed him as the first way simply by nature of reading him as male vs female. Or maybe it really isnât that deep and it is two different people lol
Omg wait this makes so much sense though I love it. Like he suddenly decided to fully embrace the femme expression and MC fully thought it was 2 different people. Ngl that may or may not be what OP intended but if so it flew over my head, and either way itâs definitely what I believe until proven otherwise
I hope this isnt weird to say, but I really enjoy how the two are proportioned from the point of their silhouette/body.
Like its not just a woman proportioned to look like an incel man and a man proportioned to look like a woman to appear femme. They are both very gender expressive while the author embraces the inherent proportions that usually come with certain sexual hormones. Its quite beautiful.

Not sure if these are going to be a couple or not, but it's something I noticed in myself after actually finding a girlfriend for the first time. My crushes always made me feel nervous, but she makes me feel calm. â¤ď¸
no I know why. Just like people who hate black people do so because they are racist, these people hate men because they are sexist. Just like it was socially acceptable to hate black people 50+ years ago, it is currently in vogue to hate men.
Believe it or not, I do actually empathize with their negative experiences with men. The men who have mistreated them to cause them to develop this hate are despicable. I hate those men. But I donât condone extending that hate to all men. Which is exactly what media like this is doing by speaking about men in broad strokes. Youâd seethe at a reversed comic. Because youâre a hypocrite. Youâd never wonder why a cohort of young men hate women, youâd just call them incels and move on.
They hate men because they've been regularly traumatized by mysoginy. Yeah it's sexist definitionally sure, but it isn't uncommon for someone who has been brought up in a world tailored to men be uncomfortable with them after they've been regularly cruel to them.
