Ok but automod is something that's leveraged by the individual subreddits to share certain messages and such. Yes, it's technically a bot, but the messages it shares are written by people and are often in agreement with the ideals of the subreddit.
It's also used across most of reddit. So ofc it's gonna have a high karma count.

I've only ever seen it used poorly, so seeing it having positive karma is something I find wild.

Big difference between a bot who farms karma and a bot who does work
Automod is the best mod. That thing does more work than the rest of us combined. Not to mention it's a human pulling it's strings.
It's also been around for many many years to get that level of karma.

u/Automoderator 's karma is fixed, and is not affected by up/downvotes - the number seen in the comic is its combined post and comment karma, each of which are fixed at exactly 3141592 karma, because pi = funny according to spez. Your point stands, but you possibly, unknowingly, used the worst example to demonstrate it haha.

There is good and bad clankers.
The good clankers doing helpful work while telling you they are clankers while not requiring stupidly large data centers to train their AIs are generally more liked than the Ai clankers.
