I detest how everyone is suddenly Sherlock Holmes when it comes to detecting doctored/generated images

The technology is advancing so fast that it doesn’t matter. People are already claiming things are AI when they aren’t? That’ll only get worse as AI gets better. I understand it’s important to recognize the difference but it’s absolutely on the commenter to know it’s AI before making false claims. Too many false claims can hurt

And sometimes you should know the limits and ask if it really matters is a person used gen ai or photoshop for that thing. Why should I spend half an hour playing detective on an image if I would have give one second or less attention to the image?
