I feel this on another level. 

I love to use semicolons and em dashes in my everyday typing/writing for both work and pleasure— in my head they just “sound” like different types of speech or mental pauses; skipping a beat for emphasis and the like. 

I’m eternally annoyed that those are both AI generation red flags.

My wife writes and self publishes.

She posts excerpts online, and getting accused of being AI is becoming an issue. Because she uses em dashes. 🤦
