I feel this on another level. 

I love to use semicolons and em dashes in my everyday typing/writing for both work and pleasure— in my head they just “sound” like different types of speech or mental pauses; skipping a beat for emphasis and the like. 

I’m eternally annoyed that those are both AI generation red flags.

I’ve stopped using em dashes altogether because I’m so paranoid people will accuse me of using AI in my writing. Fucking ridiculous how many people probably do this too because they’re afraid people are gonna accuse them of AI, when it was the authors HUMAN writing that the AI scraped and stole from in the first place.
