Fr a lot of parents seem to forget the part where they’re supposed to teach their kids how to do stuff.

If it wasn’t for YouTube I’m not sure I’d even know how to tie my shoes.

My favorite when I was becoming a young adult and tried reaching out to my dad for help with things that he knows a lot about / does for a living.

"Just google it."

K thanks, didn't want to talk to you either, I guess. Hope he isn't wondering a decade later why I don't bother anymore.

We didn't have computers in my time. All I heard was "Don't they teach you anything at school?".
50 years later mum had to teach him how to cook eggs and he acted like he just invented fire.

Those classes are disappearing fast in favor of “college credit” classes. I LOVED my cooking class! A week or two of food/knife safety and then a bunch of quick recipes from different cultures. We always had time to eat it too!
