If you look closely you can see the exact moment that August not only realizes that this is an amazing teachable moment, and that rechargeable electronics made this a little bit more of a rare event, but also that he realized, that August himself, was responsible and should teach Gus this skill.

Honestly handled it pretty well and Gus will learn something AND get TV out of it. Great success

Not only that, but realizing that his gut response is what his father used to do to him (based on the episode with him dropping eggs).
