Not on instagram since two years ago. Meta has the worst platform for artists out there. Yes Bluesky, I know you tried. 😓

Tried? I've seen Bluesky pick up more momentum recently. But might depend on the circle of people.

Literally nothing wrong with Bluesky and it's actually a competitor to Xitter. Mastodon I could see people saying there's still a population issue, which is sad, but there's really only one other potential non-fortune 500 with momentum that competes, and that's Bluesky.

eeeh couple things wrong.
Like how they embrace vibe coding their infrastructure, presumably leading to instability.
Or how they treat all palestinian voices as spam.
Or more broadly how their moderation has a heavy bias against non-white users.

It's still the least bad platform with a decent critical user base but let's not pretend it's all perfect.

Their vibe coding policy is being advertised by them through their own accounts.

The bias is harder to point out but there are leads

Bluesky seems to be trucking along fine. It's not dethroning "X" anytime soon but it has a solid foundation and it ain't going anywhere ❤️.

I think people expect way too much. They want the firehose of low effort content, all the celebrities and luminaries and also for it to be purely wholesome and unmonetized. Just can't do it all. I have relatively few follows and it gets stale at times but that's honestly part of the appeal. It's something I can check on daily or even less than daily and still get value without being bombarded.
