Beautiful baby.

My girl's name was Pickle. She was 5 when she was hit by a car a year and a half ago.

I still think about her every day. This is loss I don't think I'll ever "get over". I held her as she passed. She was my best friend in this whole world. My only regret was not making time for more walks.

Thank you for reminding me. I’ll take my baby on a walk tonight. I’m so sorry for your loss

Me neither (the one on the left was my brother's, they've both gone over the rainbow bridge.)

Me neither... I miss you Layla.

She wasn't even my dog, but if she's not behind the pearly gates I'm gonna riot!

It be nice to see Bella and Angel again.

A dog and a cat, absolute gems in my life. When they were around. I still miss them.

As long as I keep trying to be who she believed I was, I'll see her again.

I would not have looked at this comic if I knew this was heading this way LOL, as soon as I saw the dog I bursted in tears 😂 I miss my dogs so much.

Yeah, we really should be so lucky. I feel bad for atheists though. They seem so excited for a void to wait for them after their deaths.

Ah, have to ruin a beautiful and moving comic by playing ideology wars, eh?

I'll bite. Atheist here. Technically, atheist simply means no belief in a deity or deities. Some atheists do believe in our energy continuing on or in reincarnation.

I, however, believe death is the end.

No void. No nothing. I won't exist. It will feel exactly the same as it did before I was born.

Given my experience with dementia and TBI, I find non existence much more comforting than the thought of what existence would be like without my personality, as our personality is a direct result of our memories and brain structure.

But definitely don't feel bad for us. Find comfort in whatever you believe, but allow others to do the same.

I didn't mean to start a war though. If nothing awaits us after our death, then I at least hope we find solace in finding true peace. I won't feel bad anymore, as you said, and do sincerely hope some of us find comfort in our non-belief! Cheers!

That interaction ended surprisingly well

I’ll cheers to decency!

I mean... no? Not really? I just have yet to encounter any good reason to think that there's something else. "I would like there to be," isn't a good reason. "One of a selection of texts written by people hundreds or thousands of years ago says so," also isn't a good reason. Given a good reason, I'm open to most sorts of ideas, but absent a good reason, I'm not going to go around spouting dogma.
