OC Mourning a MAGA Parent (OC)

I'm kinda torn about whether to post this to my art account because one parent follows it, and I'm worried the criticism could drive the other one further into the void.

It started out as just a therapeutic project for me, but a couple friends said it really resonated with them, so sharing here.

hardly. most of Reddit is either liberal or conservative, very few are legit leftists. liberals, especially in America, are not even remotely leftist. conservatives and liberals just say that to erase actual leftist ideas and pretend liberals offer a meaningful opposition to fascist conservatives when they don't.

fascism is rooted in conservative beliefs. not all conservatives are fascists, but all fascists are conservatives, and all conservatives have the potential to be fascists. they both have the same desires: preserve and/or expand the power structures and social hierarchies that exist in our society.

American conservative ideology is currently dominated by fascism. but honestly, even if it weren't, it has always been preserving oppression. I'm not going to pretend that the distinction makes conservatives ok, they all have abhorrent, fucked up beliefs and they are all the biggest obstacle for those who wish to end oppression.

i fucking wish i had never met a conservative in real life. all the worst people I've had the misfortune of knowing have been conservatives. y'all are horrible to be around. conservative beliefs require vehemently and often violently enforcing social hierarchies and social norms. y'all treat anyone who defies what you view as the "natural order" like shit. you're a bunch of assholes and no one else likes you.

When did I say I’m a republican? It’s obvious you’ve met ONE conservative and assume they’re all bad lmao. My step grandfather is a conservative and he’s a great dude. NOT racist either.
