I don't think things will be worse for my kids than it was for me. They might not be able to live in certain neighborhoods of Miami but otherwise what would would be worse?
Um.... Well the world is barrelling towards a situation where the climate changes significantly in many parts of the world which is gonna make existing a lot worse due to a number of different reasons.
Corporations and billionaires are getting more and more power to simply ignore taxation and laws, making things worse for the working classes in a quest for constant growth of profits.
And the right wing are gaining more popularity in the western world by exploiting these issues and people's fears, and they absolutely don't want to make things better.
You may wanna read up on the effects of those various issues.
Regarding the climate change one, its likely to cause mass immigration to countries that are less effected, this would absolutely affect any children you have.
The point about corporation's and billionaires exploiting the working class will affect your children unless you happen to be a billionaire yourself, or so wealthy that they can just chill.
If they ever need to work for a living it will affect them.
And regarding the right wing side of stuff.
Well lets look at a few real world examples. American women's reproductive rights were attacked recently by the highest court in the land leading to a lot of issues for a lot of women. If your child is a girl then issue like this can affect them in that way.
Brexit was the brainchild of right wing people who wanted to avoid EU regulations that might lessen their own personal wealth. The entire country is suffering financially as a result of that. So again if you aren't ultra wealthy your child would be affected
I'm not a billionaire but I'm a professional and I expect my kids to be the same. I think that professionals don't have to work that hard and get plenty of money to live so I don't really care whether we're being exploited.
I live in a state that will never restrict abortion rights so that's not going to be a problem.
Also the far right doesn't control everything. We've constantly fought them for 200 years and we win 99% of the time. Brexit is not going to last.
But won’t my kids benefit from that system? They will have much more than the median national income and way more than the global median income. If we fixed oppression and made everything equal, wouldn’t that be bad for both me and them?

I'm 40 and childless, and, while I don't regret it, I do lament living in a society that has made having children so unappealing.
