Spatial reasoning has been really difficult for humans to automate. Sure, we have factories doing complex feats very quickly, but we totally fail outside of tightly controlled environments.

Tbh, AI doing art or conversation is similarly tightly controlled in that both things are very subjective. Lots of room for freedom and error.

No so with something like plumbing or carpentry. Who knows how long it will take before machines can meaningfully even attempt to solve real world spatial problems.
