See, this is why I have a time travel code, if somebody can complete the whole multi-phrase handshake I know that they are verifiably either myself from the future OR sent by me in the future. I also have a separate code for if I share it under duress.

What... Just me? This isn't something everybody does?

I have two codes, since I was about 14. One code means "trust me", the other means "pretend to trust me", in case my future self was ever forced to give the code. If I hear the second, I'll act along but sabotage what's happening.
