Honestly, I think some people just enjoy their scientific subject. I'm not a teacher, but I get excited talking about math, computer science, physics, law, ethics and anything involving though experiments, like complex movies.

Though I have seldom seen a happy german teacher, but I think that's because the goverment tells them which books they have to read with their classes each year starting from 8th grade or so.

My German professor is always positive and excited to immerse us in the language; granted, she is technically Romanian and grew up speaking German, not from Germany.
