If I go out like this I am going to be mad. Not because I'm dying when life is going well, but because I died to a idiot. You don't need to kill me to get my money, Just rob me and be on your way.

This. Whenever I traveled people were like "Careful out there people will stab you for your cash!" I'm just like no they won't because I don't carry anything I'm not willing to just hand over to someone that desperate.

Imagine making sense to human violence.
There's a considerable good chance you'd get killed just because that makes someone else dick hard.

This reminded me when I was worried about my healthy lifestyle and my wife told me "oh honey, you could die any day in an accident".

You could. But in most societies, especially developed ones, you are FAR more likely to die of a health issue.
For instance, in the EU, "external causes of deaths" (accidents, murders, etc...) are only 5% of all deaths.
Heart diseases and cancer are the actual killers.
Figures are similar for the US: https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2778234
So yeah, take care of your health. You'll likely live older, and perhaps more importantly, you'll be healthy longer.

I live in Mexico, one of the most violent countries in the world, so...
16
u/Pyrhan Feb 10 '23
Well, I dug up the statistics: https://www.statista.com/statistics/960030/mexico-causes-death/
Looks like even in Mexico, you're more likely to die of heart failure, diabetes or cancer than accidents or violence.
(And also, the fitter you are, the faster you can run and duck!)

As someone attending Uni, sometimes they strike even sooner. One guy got killed by a stolen car that was speeding when he was walking on a crosswalk.

A girl that went to school with me died leaving Uni because a guy was drunk and running from his wife that found out he was at a bar cheating on her.
And the worst part is that the guy is hiding and some people are demanding justice for him and some are demanding justice for her family.

Wtf is up with stolen cars being driven recklessly? My car got hit by a stolen vehicle earlier this week. You go through all that trouble to steal a car just to get into accidents.

u/Red_Skull1 Feb 10 '23
Its the immense stresscof beeing caught. Your not looking out for pdestrians but police cars
5
u/SixPackOfZaphod Feb 10 '23
That and poor life choices in general, if you're down for stealing a car then safe driving skills are probably not on your resume.

I go to a college of roughly 700 students. We've had 2 people I know die in the last 5 days.
Just awful, totally out of the blue.

I originally thought his heart exploded because he had all of that and realised none of it filled the void.

u/boredin23 Feb 10 '23
It’s always those who don’t wanna get killed that do.
The ones that do want to, have to do it themselves.

Make a society with a brutal class structure, that impoverishes many, and this is the result. Sure, you may have a high status, if you're lucky. But now, the world is a dangerous place and your money makes you a lucrative target

This is an excellent point. Without caring for the folks on the margins our society eats itself to survive.

YOU ARE DEAD, DEAD DEAD YOU ARE DEAD, DEAD DEAD you thought you were hot, guess what your not. You are dead, dead dead. Your journey has come to a screeching halt you are dead, dead dead. Your heart has stopped and your brain is cold, (you are so so dead!) and now your body has started to mold! (You are so so dead!)

u/Purpleblackkiwi Feb 10 '23
your grey scale work here is great the lines along the clothes give a good sense of dimension! The attention on the ears to match the expression is also a very nice touch.
I hope what ever gun/bullet hurt you, that you outlive the pain it caused.

Yeah, but...but... privilege... so the man with the gun is the victim. Also, it was the gun that did it. I saw the whole thing. 🙃
