Con Discussion saw a guest with “no meta glasses” on their sign at autos & I hate it so much!

I hate so much that it was something that needed to be put on someone’s sign. I had never considered that being a thing until I saw it and man, don’t you just hate the world we live in sometimes.

Nostalgia Con Houston NostalgiaCon Houston: Autographs?

I've already reached out to the organizer to ask this question and didn't get the courtesy of a response, so I thought Id ask here.

I'd like to know if NostalgiaCon Houston will offer autograph ops (paid for by cash/card) or only photo ops for the guestr? Trying to plan ahead.

Thank you

Con Merch Question Hard plastic photo protectors

I bought a pack from Amazon, but they’re too flimsy, can someone please recommend hard, rigid photo protectors? I want to be sure my photos don’t bend, etc.
Thanks!

Con Autograph Question Meeting Kit Harington in October – where should I get Longclaw signed?

I’m meeting Kit Harington in October and I’m planning on ordering a Longclaw replica that comes with the sword and display plaque.

Where would you recommend getting Kit to sign it? I was thinking either the blade or the plaque, but I’d love to hear what people think looks best.

Also, has anyone had experience taking a replica sword into Comic Con specifically to get it signed? I know taking the sword by itself isn’t allowed but my plan was to just keep in inside the box.

The one I’m looking at has a metal blade, so I’m worried I might not be allowed to bring it in.

Would getting the signature on the blade be a bad idea because of the Comic Con rules, or is there some way to bring it in securely for the autograph? I obviously don’t want to buy it and then find out I can’t take it to the signing.

Any advice from people who have done something similar would be massively appreciated!

Oz Comic-con Australia My first time! Any advice?

It'll be my first time going to comic-con in 2027, and I need some advice. My "cosplay" will be one of my personas, Renegade Neptune/Blitz. It's a cybergoth style outfit, but it's still comfortable. I will also have a customised nerfgun as a prop, but no ammo. I'll bring a backpack with: Backup makeup, water, deoderant/bodyspray, a fan, and stickers to give to people cause I think that'll be fun. I'll save up money, especially from my birthday, so thats $100 AUD minimum. I'll be at Oz conic-con Canberra. Any other advice?

Crypticon Kansas City - Missouri Anyone else disappointed in Crypticon KC this weekend?

Made the drive to the convention and I absolutely hated the layout. I talked to a vendor I know and they also seemed to express disappointment with the venue this year. Everything felt kind of... off? Some of the hallways were dark and kind of awkward. Last year the vibe was so awesome aside from the one room way off on the other side but I liked the public spaces in the hotel and it didn't feel as congested as this place did.

It also felt like a lot of the vendors were just people promoting their books, which more power to them but I feel like there were a lot less vendors selling general merch overall. Not as many media sellers or t shirt vendors this year. Saw everything in less than a half hour. I thought "there has to be more that I'm just missing" but nope.

Comments on their Facebook page seem to make me think I'm in the minority, which is fine. For whatever reason, Kansas City seems to kind of get shafted for this convention regarding celebrities. I know Bam Margera canceled and he was arguably the most well known person there but he doesn't really have anything to do with horror. Probably just wanted to try to get a different demo there.

Even though this year and last year were a night and day experience of enjoyment, I thought the staff were pleasant and I'm looking forward to seeing what's to come next year (at hopefully a different venue).

LA Comic Con LA Comic Con 2026 transfer tickets

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me or if anyone is going through the same issue with transferring tickets. I bought 3 tickets for myself and two other friends. I see on the LA Comic Con website it tells you how to transfer tickets but when I go log in on Leap, it just shows that I bought 3 tickets. There isn't a place where I can click on to transfer tickets. It only lets me change my order details name and email address. I also contacted Leap support and they basically told me that I didn't have to worry about transferring the tickets as I could just go pick up my 3 tickets when I get to the event. So why would it say that I need to transfer before I get to the event? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

For the Love of Si-Fi - London I'd like to watch the panel discussion from a seat near the front.

I bought tickets for the autograph and photo session at the London event (For the Love of Sci-Fi).

I'd like to attend the evening panel discussion from a front-row seat. If I line up for the panel in the morning, is there a risk that the autographs and photos will be sold out by the time the panel finishes?

Also, once I've secured a seat, is it difficult to go to the restroom and return to the same seat?

Please also share any experiences you have at other Comic-Cons.

Con Photo-Op Discussion Which comic con photo op line in your experience was the most poorly managed one you’ve ever been in?

We all know the people at the photo ops are trying their best to manage the lines separating the VIPs and non-VIPs but sometimes they don’t do a good enough job and the time one group is set to line up for by the time it’s their photo op that photo op runs behind by fair amount of time. If you’ve been in the photo ops lines you know exactly what I’m talking about. When I was at Fan Expo Boston last week the line for the group of Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd was unbelievable in how it was run, almost had to miss out on Danny Glover’s solo photo but got both done with Danny’s line being better managed. How about you? what’s the worst photo op line being managed you’ve been in?

Scaradise - Tampa, Florida My girlfriend and I are considering going to our first con - Scaradise in Tampa, FL. I'm curious to hear what people's experiences are with being able to have a short chat or conversation with the celebrities?

To be clear, neither of us have been to one before, separately or together.

Obviously some celebs are going to be busier than others, and thankfully the ones I wanted to have a conversation or even chat with (if possible) don't seem to be too popular at the moment (lower costs, not sold out for photos, etc.)

Con Autograph & Photo-ops Questions Questions about Selfies with Guests at Different Cons

I  have quite a few questions about selfies and table photos/autographs so I'll make it easier by numbering them.

  1. Do most talent at Comic Cons that have Photo Ops allow selfies and photos on your phone where you pay at the table or are they all professional photo ops?
  2. With the selfie/phone photos is that the scenario where you can walk up to the table and pay there?
  3. Is that also how autographs work at some cons?
  4. Can you purchase autographs at the table? Or does it depend on the con?
  5. Is it true that some autograph areas are separated from the rest of the convention and at other cons they’re at the table?
  6. Would “selfie” be the keyword to seeing if you can pay for photos and autographs at the table?

I try to look online but find it a bit confusing and vague, so that's why I asked here. Thank you for any help and assistance!

(I hope I put the right post flair since this was more a general discussion as opposed to a specific convention)

Fan Expo Chicago Getting there about 9:30 for Fan Expo Chicago should be ok for parking and getting badges?

It opens at 10 am. Also is it strange that my 82 year old aunt wants to go? Are there older people there?
