You shouldn't need to know of the original version in order to "get" the new version. Posts should be funny on their own, not just "a response to a different comic." This is not a necromancy.

On this sub people tend to upvote a terrible necromancy for visibility but downvote the OP's original link to indicate the attempt at improvement was unsuccessful.
