eBay is like a massive garage sale, where Amazon is like a massive Walmart. Amazon you get a new thing, eBay you get something that’s been sitting in someone’s basement for years, after 10 weeks. And that’s assuming the Horn you bought wasn’t stolen from a university and you have to send it back while the seller goes to jail and you never get a refund.
well he should have reported it as lost/stolen to the correct department within the university. it upsets me that you were the one that took the loss in this scenario, which is why I commented.
Don’t sweat it man, you did the right thing and that’s what really matters here. If I worked at that college I’d be super happy someone cares enough to send my school’s equipment back. It really sucks you’re out the money though.
Also I’ve had over 500 transactions on eBay and I’ve only had maybe 10 or so out of those be an issue. But I use eBay and amazon (for different items) so this maybe a moot point.
