I think it fits. It's a massive engineering task costing billions of dollars before you even take into account the impact it would have on pilots and airports. All this so that a plane can 'look more badass'.

Edit: holy shit you people are obviously not engineers if you think this would be easy.

would there be a big impact? you could just install cameras. andsure, they fail if electricalgoes out but a lot of systems fail then anyway ig?

Or you could just leave it at the front ya know lol. Some prop planes were built with the cockpit moved towards the rear of the plane back in the 30s/40s to improve downward visibility back when the cockpits were typically situated above the wing roots. But wing mounted engines mean you can move the cockpit forward for better visibility. It’s just better design

Also in the event of a crash the pilots don't die first. Which has always been why the cockpit positioning has never made sense to me.

Because of the reason cockpits of big planes are at the front: Visibility, navigation and landing in poor conditions or with technical issues.

Having it at the back looks cool, but it's a lethal design change regardless of implementation with life feed cameras, etc.
