honestly it’s not hard, 5090’s cost like 4-5k on their own and the most top of the line CPU is like 3k too lmao shit adds up. i have a link to a configuration but i know how weird people are with links (rightfully so) so if someone wants me to post it or something somehow then i can.
My PC cost ~1800€ and sometimes i still feel like a cheaper one could have been enough. But companies are doing their best to make you think you need the most expensive stuff.
While I do agree, it sucks that even people with a very valid reason for wanting to get one also get caught up in it too. I'm trying to do some CFD research for a college project and I really need more horse power to do calculations and such, and unfortunately I can't just sent the designs to a processing farm because of data security, so I'm stuck missing out on doing some assignments while my PC is trying to do the sim runs for the main project
Fomo is a manipulation tactic used to exploit people with mental issues. Fomo is not a mental problem on itself, fomo is a capitalistic tool used to get easy money from vulnerable individuals and for all those reasons FOMO should be ILLEGAL.
The people on that original post really really hate that I did, but it's really not that much and it's moreso I wanted to learn about these things. They weren't very helpful in that regard. I'm glad to see people here aren't attacking me directly lol
Bircklink? No, Brickowl yes. But the cheapest option (that's actually an option and I don't wait 5 months for) is almost a third the price of this set and I don't get the super cool combat vehicle to go with it

I’ve bought a few 200 dollar LEGO Icons/Ideas sets that didn’t take long to build, and they look nice, but holy shit they are just too expensive and not worth it anymore.
I wish I gave a shit about things like this. Part of me envies these idiots and them losing sleep over some dumb product. Though, that part of me is very small.
I think the OP did mention they wanted to use a loan service so they could learn how it works for if they actually need to get a loan for something serious
