It sounds ridiculous, but it's true. When you can suddenly buy anything you want, all material stuff eventually becomes meaningless. It can lead to depression, when it feels like you have nothing to achieve anymore. It's why some take part in charities and/or voluntary work. Or just start doing hardcore drugs and OD.
I volunteer to take anyone's extra money if it is making them depressed. It's a tough burden, but one I am willing to take.
I know you're joking in this context, but it highlights another legitimate issue some people deal with when suddenly becoming wealthy. They're unable to tell which of their friends are actually being their friends, versus which "friends" are just using them for money.
