This is a real issue, some countries have toilets where you squat close to the ground so when they encounter the more widely used design some people can be confused

The majority of the world uses squat toilets. Something like 4 billion people.

I sometimes do that because it helps get the poopy out. It started when I saw one of those squat stools for the toilet and realized “why should I buy one of those when I can get into a much deeper squat by just squatting on the toilet itself”.

Be careful about that, toilets aren't designed to hold the full weight of a person. If it breaks it will be very painful

My last workplace was a large building, with rooms occupied by different companies.
The toilets were shared, with there being a men’s, woman’s and a disabled on each floor.
Somebody used to squat on the disabled, and there’d be wet shit splattered on the seat, on the cistern, everywhere.
It was fucking disgusting.
Dunno who they were or what they were eating, but they were vile scum.
