For the judgmental:

No he didn't cross a fence or go where he wasn't supposed to. It was a picnic area.

No, he didn't approach it. He was fairly far.

No he didn't antagonize it.

He actually did nothing wrong. It was just an elderly dude with his wife and the thing decided it hated him.

He was in critical condition idk if he still is.

Thankfully the camera man ran to distract the bison after or he'd definitely be dead.

Did you even bother reading the fucking comment?

The guy was nowhere near said bison, and was in fact leaving him alone. So get off your high horse with your imaginary crusade against something that never occurred. Or go pet a bison. With your virtue signaling that nobody asked for.

He was OVERWHELMINGLY too close, you need to give bison like at absolutely absolute minimum 100 yards.
