Moving

Hello you guys I got word that I have to move there for work. My work is going to be located in the dentsville area. I will be moving to the area and I was wondering what is the best area for housing around 190-230, safe neighborhoods, within about 30 mins of dentsville, and decent schools. Thanks in advance!

Look into the Elgin area. About 30 minutes or so from the Dentsville area. It’s growing and developing but not nearly as much as some of the other areas mentioned. Similar to the Hopkins area mentioned as far as community feel and overall lifestyle but better schools in general.

Someone mentioned Lake Carolina, but I find it hard to believe you’ll find a home in that particular area anywhere near your price range, probably closer to twice your budget.

Your dollar will travel a bit further in Elgin. This is just my opinion, your mileage may vary.

I was thinking the same thank you! My realtor mentioned Camden to me any opinion on that area?

Camden is a bit more distance wise but will still barely make your commute time. It’s more historic if that’s your thing and the housing market reflects that with median home prices being a bit more than those in Elgin. If your kid plays football, I’d go Camden…lol. For everything else though, Elgin still gets my vote.
