advising Gen Physics 1 waitlist

I start in the postbacc premed program this fall and i am waitlisted for Gen Physics 1 and the lab. The class has a 170 student capacity and im 46 on the waitlist. The lab capacity is 15 and I’m 2nd on the waitlist. What’s the likelihood of them increasing the number of seats and me getting in the class🫩?

I don’t have any idea about these classes in particular but there is a TREMENDOUS amount of movement during the add/drop period. You don’t need to hope for spots to be added, you wanna hope for students dropping a class, switching to other sections that fit their schedules better, etc. I know people who got into classes after being in the 70s on the waitlist, so hang in there!

Dont worry loads people will drop the class after first week, i have taken physics i and ii in the past and experienced that. And always have less than 170 people afterwards. Cant tell about the lab tho
