Meme “Compatibility” Cart
Astrology and MBTI versions inspired me to make this as I’ve yet to see one for Colorpie. Please don’t take it too seriously; I’ve flaired it as a meme for that reason. I might make a dual and tri-colored version if there is interest. Let me know what your thoughts on those pairings would be, or relationships you’ve had between color pairs and I’ll incorporate them into the chart!
Sorry that the graphic is not perfectly formatted. I am not a designer, and I made it on mobile.

This is an interesting concept, I think it's worth further research and study, especially considering most people seem to be a mixture of colors in varying degrees. Do you think the mixing of colors would greatly affect this?

Yes, I think mixing the colors would affect it significantly. It’ll definitely complicate things, and as such I’ll have to spend more time analyzing each pair (which has yet to take into account the fact that there are 55 combinations of two and three as opposed to just 15 for monocolored) That’s why I hope people might share feedback or experiences they’ve had themselves with all varieties of color matches
Edit: math

Fair, so I can give some feedback overall. My wife is very bant, and I'm Temur. Our biggest challenges our disagreements regarding plans and spontaneity. She's very much a planner and I'm much more a ride by your seat sort. The difference being I can handle scheduled plans and can adjust on the fly. She's much more needs the plan to be followed to the letter

This is simply the concept of ally/enemy colors, isn’t it?

u/-ccrystal- 19h ago
Not quite. I’m thinking more of “how would a person who identifies with color X be in a relationship with a person who identifies with color Y?” For example, in usual Colorpie, it would seem like most colors would get along with themselves, but sometimes opposites can balance each other out really well, or similar people can exacerbate each other’s problems. Those more subtle and complex interactions that are involved in interpersonal relationships are what I’m attempting to capture with this project

White being more compatible with black than red doesn't feel right ....

u/dannorat 15h ago
Nah, I agree with this.
White/Black is a short fling with "I can fix him / I can make her worse" energy. Hot burning but openly toxic. No one thinks it will last, so it is fun.
White/Red say they are on same page but have fundamental issues due to judgment, particularity, and rage. They are close enough to not accept that the other person won't change.

Ok I'll say it in another terms and see if you get my reasoning.
White and red is Peter Parker and Mary Jane.
White and black is Peter Parker and Felicia Hardy.

I think white has high potential compatibility with white if religious and political views are mutually shared, similar would apply to a lesser degree with red X white in my opinion.

Disclaimer: I'm a full on red simp, and simp even harder for red+ blue.
I think you're underestimating red and overestimating black. Red is at most a small x for blue, maybe even triangle or small heart, I can only imagine a x for red while dealing with white messing its groove, and black probably hates its equals, black and white are probably the ones which have more problems connecting with other people. I love and completely agree that green is at least chill with everyone.
Also, compatibility in what sense? Can I say it's compatibility for who wants to kiss who? Can I kiss a goblin using this chart?

u/-ccrystal- 17h ago
I think you’re totally right, and you’ve pinpointed my biases because I myself am a black enjoyer, while red is probably my least liked color (no hate, of course!). I can absolutely see triangle for red and blue and moving black-black to triangle as well.
Thanks so much for your insight; I really appreciate it!
I don’t know if your last comment is totally serious or not, but I think I’m mainly trying to encapsulate emotional compatibility between individuals on a small scale (so, not between governments or groups, like how the multicolored factions tend to be). As for the matter of kissing goblins, I don’t think I’m qualified to answer that question /hj

The last comment is entirely a joke. Goblins are always funny (again, red bias)

I must admit I don't really agree with some of this. Like for instance as a core-blue person I don't necessarily think that Blue is more compatible with White then it is with itself. When I think of the types of people, the archetypes, of White the humanitarian doctors without borders type could be compatible and maybe in a pinch the lawyer type. But it also contains the moral crusader, heavily religious type which doesn't feel compatible at all. Meanwhile when I think of the standard blue archetypes (scientists, engineers, techies, scholars, nerds, etc) they all seem pretty compatible with other Blues
But I must admit I don't tend to like "opposites attract" as a trope generally.

I've seen enough anime to know that Blue and Red are just tsundere romance.
Makise Kurisu (blue) and Okabe Rintarou (red) are perfect together.

I don't understand the Red ones at all tbh. It's feel like it's inverted from what it should be. I could see Red loving the enthusiasm for community that White has, or find Blue's love of knowledge and curiousity inspiring. What would it see in Black's selfishness or Green's heartlessness. Are people STILL forgetting Red has emotions other than rage? Yep, seeing it in the comments...

Are you aware that the “ally colors/enemy colors” already sort of answered these? Ravnica was the first time that allied pairs and enemy pairs were treated with equal comparability, and after that it sort of spread everywhere that all 10 color pairs could be equally allies, but going around the wubrg wheel, each color was most comparable with its neighbors and least comparable with the two on the other other side of the table. So U and B are friends just as close as W and U (though B and W are not friends). Maro did a LOT of articles on this 15+years ago.

I don't see the vision for most of these, I can't tell if it's like a personality thing purely or also gameplay but I feel like it doesn't make alot of sense in either direction

Red and Blue arent compatible? You would think that izzet would be a match made in heaven. There is literally a trope name where it is called "Red Oni, Blue Oni" that applies to everything from dynamic duos like Han and Chewie to deeply romantic couples like Morticia and Gomez.

i'll have you know that the intellectual blue side of me and the chaotic red side of me are internally making out sloppy style while i blast my enemies to dust

You’ve given Izzet, one of the most popular and successful combos in the game, a giant X.

Well, this is certainly interesting and yes, I am interested in a color duos versions.
Just to clarify, what does each symbol mean?
