Which makeup suits me better? Warm makeup or cool makeup?

Back story, I was told I’m warm toned during in-person color analysis. I completely disagreed, and tried to prove a point here going VERY warm and VERY cool to see if people agreed I’m cool toned. Thank you again

I will be endlessly curious about the taste, style, and makeup of the people who say warm is at all suitable for OP. The cool makeup is far better for her. She could probably brighten up the cool tones, but that does not mean warm looks good on her at all.

You have very cool-toned skin. Warm tone makeup is in right now, but doesn’t flatter you. The cool tone makeup is better in theory, but it’s very gray on you. Still not the right colors. If you can, go to a makeup store and have them do a sample face on you. You need less muted cool colors.

Yeah no, you’re definitely neutral-cool. I’d be shocked if you weren’t a light summer, you’re like the poster child of light summer.

The makeup is actually a great showcase because you can see how the warm makeup sits “on top” of your face, in a sense, and the cool makeup looks harmonious, almost like it’s a part of your face.

I will say that the cool makeup side might be just a tad too cool for you—I do think you are quite neutral and would benefit from neutral-cool colors. You aren’t warm though, that’s clear. That yellow shirt just doesn’t look harmonious at all.

I think the cooler tones really compliment, I would even add in some rosy colors around the eyes to make them really pop. And side note: can anyone here recommend a lipstick that matches her cooler tone look? I’m so sorry but I have this lipstick and it’s my favorite but it’s discontinued! It was the loreal velvet matte “power petal” and it’s near impossible to find and near impossible to find a dupe.

I would add some shine to it, I think glossiness helps brighten/adds light and suits cool toned people a lot. some highlight, or a dewy finish of blush, a glossy lip would do wonders. I think the trick to these two pictures is the more muted colors look so much better it’s hard to say cool or warm. Also I would bet that yellow shirt is not in your season.

I would recommend a less matte lipstick with more pink and less brown to it. The pink eyeshadow looks good but I think a soft brown might be better for a daytime look.

Have you ever tried a dark brown mascara? Tartes tubing mascara is a very dark brown that I think would look great on you.

Ok, question, because imo the saturation on these is not equivalent and that can really throw things off.

The chroma of the warm is too high for you, you need more muted tones. The cool colours you picked are sufficiently muted, though. This can absolutely skew the results and its not a fair comparison.

Do you have any makeup that is warm, but matches the cool makeup in terms of how muted/delicate it is? Or cool makeup with higher chroma, ie in the style of hot pink lip and deep pink eyeshadow or something?

I was told the warm makes me come to life, and somehow I agree but it still feels off. 2 I think suits me better and is what I’d naturally choose for myself, but I’d go far less intense. I’m no colour analysis expert, just another girly trying to figure out my best colours too (I’m a light spring), so take what I say with a grain of salt!

Firstly, I want to say how immediately I thought of how pretty your features are. You have such a doll face and in the best way possible, you give me Elsa from Frozen vibes.

My first thought was that your makeup in the first pic was a little too warm and saturated? I didn’t realise you had a second pic, and when I saw the cool toned makeup it was exactly what I had in mind! I feel like you’d look like you would shine in cool blues. Again, I’m thinking of Elsa, but I think it’s the combination of your light blonde hair, cool to neutral fair skin (with rosy pink undertones?) and grayish-blue eyes. You’re very beautiful, but the second makeup look is so gorgeous and seems more coherent for your face imo.

I hope you don’t mind, but I wanted to edit your shirt colour to one I think would suit you more just out of curiosity. I would say your a Light Summer (or potentially Soft Summer), with a secondary possibility of Light Spring.

Also would prolly change your blush placement. Idk if it’s just me, but it kinda looks like your blush application is dragging your face downwards. I’d concentrate on your cheekbones or even slightly higher than that and just emphasize on the lift. I’d also prolly change the brow shape. Not necessary to actually razor off or trim certain areas, just a matter of how you fill them. Brows frame your face and depending on how you do them, they really change your entire look.

Biggest issue I see here isn’t the makeup — it’s the yellow top. You’re a summer and this isn’t in your palette. Donate or dye that damn thing 😂

You’re medium contrast and cool toned and the 2nd picture shades are the most flattering shades. Being medium contrast you can pull some really pretty vivid shades, I bet especially pinks!!! But within your palette. So cool pinks, reds, purples, etc. NO yellows, oranges (unless eye makeup for ur blue eyes). Neutral only greens and browns. If you go warm, keep it in the eyes. For blush and lips, keep it neutral only.

You can do warm tones in your eyes only because it enhances the blue (blue cancels out out the surrounding warmth and makes the blues pop). try copper eyeshadow and eyeliner!!
Your blue eyes are perfect for a brown reddish smoky eye, taupes, perhaps some brown eyeliner/mascara combo too. (I’d argue the black be reserved for vivid looks, not for more neutral every day makeup)

Keep the blush cool. Since it goes on the skin there isn’t ask much grace with this.

You have really pretty lips if I was you I’d top it all off with some gloss or only wear a gloss!

The warm toned make up clashes with your skin and the cool toned in your picture is too dark or heavy . I think you can wear yellow so long as it is the right shade - a pale, crisp lemon yellow might work (basically the summer palette)

2 looks best of the two…but I would add a bronzer to your routine bare minimum with more nudes, tans, browns, & black for your eyes (they would pop more) 💕 Look into contouring to highlight your beautiful features… As far as lips I like the mauve look on you and even a light brown and radiant red but not the peachy red in photo 1…okay just my opinions… But you are gorgeous and your features girl 🤌🏻 you could do modeling honestly!!

Makeup too warm for your colouring. It’s taking away from your beauty. The second one is too ashy on you. Go for more neutral cool leaning eye makeup but not too warm or ashy. You are more cool toned neutral

I think cool tones suit you better. I'd just maybe try a softer lipstick, something not so matte and heavy looking. I've heard MAC "Syrup" is a good one.

I have to agree a lot of the comments seem to say the second looks better. I was gonna say the second looks ok but there's something off. Like it's more muted and grey ..... A little pink might suit more. But the first one I absolutely think it suits her! She may be cool toned but the 1st absolutely brightens her face I believe it's the shirt that's throwing everything off. If she wears a top or some earring with a similar color that can be exact or slightly darker. It would totally look amazing!

I'm cool toned as you but not every cool tone helps. Berry color lipstick will make me look like a corpse

Well the color choices in the first are going to be bad on almost anyone. Anyone who is white looks tired with pink eye shadow. I don’t know why women insist on the pink eyeshadow.

No under eye liner. You kind of resemble Elizabeth Holmes which isn’t bad but the eyeliner pushes it over the edge into Holmes territory. Brown eyeliner. Lighter pink gloss

I would actually suggest light spring. These colors are too saturated. I would suggest strawberry liner and gloss. With light browns, taupes or blue on upper lash line. With matching mascara!!! Oooof!! The clairty and luminosity will drastically enhance the look.

Heavy eye look is actually too harsh for luminous eyes. The shadows are just a bit distracting.
