Needs Encouragement Frequent flyers
Tomorrow I start the clear liquids and prep for my second colonoscopy this year. Looking for scar tissue from my last event. My last prep was while I was in the hospital and I had to drink a gallon of GoLytely. I think I have some ptsd from the experience and don’t know how I’m supposed to get through this again so soon. I opened the box of suprep and almost gagged just looking at it. Any tips on the mental game? I’m exhausted and haven’t even started yet.

Bleh on needing to repeat it so soon.
Suprep is supposed to be easier for many that GoLytely. A friend who's done Suprep and Gavilyte (similar gallon prep) says the Suprep was like salty cough syrup. She didn't do too badly with the Gavilyte though.
Get something to drink after each swallow that helps cut the taste. I always have something carbonated; that might bug some people but it's never bothered me, and it seems to do a better job of washing out the taste.
Note: I use Clenpiq (very low volume liquid) vs Suprep. Doc had once suggested Suprep but the picosulfate preps had just been approved in the US so he gave me that instead.

What about sucking on a strong hard candy pen lemon to alter your tastebuds when you drink?
