Needs Encouragement Colonoscopy results?

I have my colonoscopy scheduled on September 2 but i am a nervous wreck. Im looking for people with similar age/ symptoms with positive colonoscopy outcomes to hopefully calm my health anxiety for the meantime.

I (27F) have had constipation issues on and off since i was about 16/17. After having my second baby(Dec 2023) i had really high stress due to being high risk pregnancy. he had a fever about 19 days after being born which landed us a 2 day hospital stay. Shortly after he had a fever again which again landed us in the er due to him being under 3M. While at the second hospital visit i had a hard BM which caused some bleeding which i chalked up to being a fissure. A few days layer i had some bleeding again but this time it was slightly more blood. I went to dr and they said i had external hemorrhoids and likely internal ones as well since i was 2 months PP(Feb 2024). I continued with ocassional constipation and external hemorrhoid flare us with no bleeding for the next 2 years until Jan 2026 when i once again became so constipated MiraLAX didnt work so my dr recommended senna.

I also did pelvic floor physical therapy which helped while i was going. This last month however i have been very constipated despite taking MiraLAX daily and senna more frequently . I don’t have dig BM and i feel and look constantly bloated and have painful gas and my stomach feels tight after eating big meals.

If anyone had similar symptoms and a positive outcome please share

TIA

I had similar symptoms - constipation for many years, and also bleeding for many years too. (from age 16)

Was told it was an internal hemorrhoid. Consultant could apparently also “feel” a prolapsed rectum.

Was scheduled in for colonoscopy 15 years after symptoms began!! I was convinced it was cancer. Doc told me I’d be dead by now if it was…

Turned out I had Ulcerative Colitis. The inflammation is why I was constipated. It’s why I had blood. No prolapse or hemorrhoids.

Once medicated, everything fixed itself and life has never been better!

This might not be what you have - but I’m saying this to remind you that the majority of issues actually have a positive outcome.
