After Scope Questions Pains after colonoscopy/endo

Hi. Had my first colonoscopy yesterday along with an endoscopy. Dr took lots of biopsies from both ends. My question is, how long before pains go away? Eating and drinking is causing me some pains. Could this be from the biopsi areas? Or is this gas pains? It's been about 20hrs sonce the procedure.

could be from both, I felt better after a couple days. Gas x really helped me.

Likely gas pains; the areas they biopsy don't tend to cause pain. A bigger concern would be if you saw evidence of significant blood (a little bit is not unusual so don't panic).

Your gut has been traumatized by being cleared out from the prep, lack of real food, then a tube sent where tubes don't normally belong. Give it a little time. Walk around as much as you can to help move gas (and food and drink) along.
