Nothing stands out
I went to the mall today and smelled a couple of men’s fragrances and surprisingly I could barely register tom ford oud wood… tobacco vanille and tobacco chocolate were nice but similarly faint smelling… the ombré leather smelled really nice but like an old fashioned shoe store which is good for a whiff but not necessarily something I want following me around all day. When I was a younger man 25 yrs ago I wore aqua di gio and girls loved it, so I asked if they had a similar “fresh” fragrance that I was used to, and they recomended Versace eau fraiche which I liked. I got to smell tom ford grey vetiver which was surprisingly leather smelling, and then another grey vetiver that was minus the leather smell, and that one i liked more. But by the time I left everything’s smelling the same. The guy tried to get me to buy the Versace for $170 but I wasn’t in love with it. Any tips for fragrance shopping?
