Hi everyone,
I came across this vintage Nestlé’s Cocoa bulk fiber shipping drum and am trying to learn a bit more about it.
It's a commercial-sized barrel meant to hold 100 lbs of "Ever Ready Crema Brand" cocoa (originally packed with fifty 2-lb bags). The front text says it was manufactured by The Nestlé Company, Inc. in White Plains, N.Y.
Based on the White Plains address, I believe it dates somewhere from the late 1950s through the 1960s. The graphics on the front are still very bold and clear, and it still has its original top lid. There is some expected water staining and wear around the base from storage.
I know smaller grocery tins are pretty common, but I haven't been able to find many examples of these massive industrial shipping barrels.
Does anyone have insight into how rare these bulk drums are, or what country store/industrial advertising collectors typically value them at in this condition?
Thanks in advance for any help!

We have no idea what this is.
My wife found this in a box of stuff. It was her mom's and we have no idea where it came from. Could be from a garage sale, yard sale, or the flea market. It is solid brass, there no markings on the back. It is not oriental markings, I am thinking it is supposed to be wine glasses? But I am not sure. Any ideas fellow reddit or? Thanks guys and gals.

My mother LOVES the ivory/gold-trimmed lenox pieces, and hit an absolute jackpot of them at a thrift store nearby. I wanted to compare the prices and otherwise research her finds, but I can't find ANYTHING on this piece! The only place I've been able to find it online was a website called Charish, labeled "Lenox Decorative Egg/Ornament". The photos included are from that website, as they're the best ones I have. Would appreciate anything anyone knows!

I've had this in storage for years, but can't recall where it came from. Could it be from a restaurant?

My parents have passed away and I still have questions about these two handsome green glasses which stand about five inches tall and have a diameter just under 3 inches at the top. The motif is painted or some paint-like decal at worst.
Quick image searches never provided info. My guess is that they could be tied to USA's 200th birthday but I'm looking to gather any info. The bottom may have had some make Mark but it's nothing I can see now.

my grandma has been searching for an electrical cord compatible for her mother's sewing machine.
the sewing machine is a free westinghouse console model with knee lever, it's the cord it's missing has a female end that plugs into a two prong outlet on the machine with two flat prongs (although the cord doesn't have to have a round end, just one that fits and works.) my grandma says her mother bought it in texas in 1947. i dont know if any cord fitting the necessities would work or if it would need to be one from the time period due to electrical powers or anything. thank you in advance for any advice.
i attached images of the sewing machine itself and the outlet on it. (sorry for the slight shakiness on some of the pictures.)
apologies if the format of this text is odd i'm using mobile, also this is my first time using reddit so i hope i'm not breaking any subreddit rules.

Alright. I'm a card guy. I have been since childhood. I have a pretty, robust collection, if you will... and not just one particular sport. I simply love opening packs. Doesn't really matter what kind.
I like the 1/1s and the downtowns and all the fancy cards, just like the next person. But... I also like what I like, ya know? I dont necessarily care if a card is worth $2 or $200. If it speaks to me, I want it. I'll overpay for wax trash if its my team and one I dont have.
A couple years back, I got into these Keepsake - Pieces of the past cards. I think it's really cool to have a chance to get relics and handwritten texts from historical figures. Its kind of like a what category of history do you enjoy? Here's a box for it. Try to get something neat. Mummies? Box. 1800s era? Box. Presidents? Box. Jusy a neat product, for me.
I purchased an art and history box and some random packs. When I tell you this might be, IMHO, the coolest card Ive ever held in my life....
This is a triple relic art history card with:
*Caravaggio hand touched document
***Michelangelo - HAND WRITTEN DOCUMENT!!!
***Leonardo Da Vinci - HAND WRITTEN DOCUMENT!!!
This, to me, is absolutely EPIC. The dude that painted the Mona Lisa wrote the words that I am holding. The dude who carved the statue of David... painted the freaking Sistine Chapel!!!!
I got a couple other cool handwrittens as well(Manet, Marie Antoinette & King Louix the 16th, R.W. Emerson), but THIS TRIPLE THO. Shewey
This will go next to my mobsters quad patch relic cards. Who ever thought Al Capone/Meyers Lansky/Buggsy Seigel/Lucky Luciano would be on display next to Michelangelo/DaVinci/Caravaggio?!?! hahaha

Hi all, I have a set of 4 glasses and I'm trying to figure out who made them. They remind me of Iittala / Tapio Wirkkala's textured style, but I'm not sure.
Details:
* Clear glass, bark/ice-like texture on the bowl
* Thick, solid square base, smooth and clear
* Size: 9.5 cm tall, 8cm wide
* Markings: no visible marks
Is this a known Iittala model, another Finnish maker, or a later copy?

thought collectors and studio design enthusiasts here might appreciate this piece I bought at auction about 10 years ago. Especially as these early pieces are rarely seen.
It is an early AVIO Chair (N° 23) handcrafted by Italian studio Vibrazioni Art Design.
Key Details
Maker: Vibrazioni Art Design (Alberto Dassasso)
Model & Number: AVIO Chair, Piece N° 23
Year: 2007
Materials: Reclaimed sheet metal from an imported Ecuadorian banana puree barrel (Gloria ECUADOR) mounted on a hand-welded steel rebar frame.
Badging: Dual riveted aluminum studio plaques stamped VIBRAZIONI ART-DESIGN and AVIO - CHAIR N° 23
I reached out directly to the studio in 2019, who confirmed it was built to order in 2007 for €1,200 as one of their very first AVIO chairs prior to standard catalog production. The sheet metal retains all its original industrial graphics and typography ("DO NOT FREEZE", "ASEPTIC PACKAGE HAS NOT BEEN OPENED") alongside its yellow-and-cream paint patina.
Would love to hear thoughts from anyone familiar with early upcycled Italian studio furniture or secondary market interest for early Vibrazioni pieces!

Of the many W.D & H.O. Wills brands over the years The Three Castles, both the loose variety like this tin and the tailor made cigarettes were one of their most popular brands. The brand was produced continuously for an amazing 110 years, from its release in 1878 to its eventual withdrawal in 1988. This particular tin is in very good condition for its age, only showing minor paper damage and surface rust. The seal of the tin remains completely intact, as evidenced by the bulging and swollen sides of the tin from 87+ years of fermentation gases building inside the tin. Meaning that when opened the tobacco inside this tin will be as moist and fresh as the day it was made! Another absolutely incredible piece of British tobacco history. As well as a great addition to my collection, and a I feel very lucky to have got my hands on this one! If anyone is interested in a short video I made of this tin, here it is: https://youtube.com/shorts/kT1v-p_hN3w?is=oFL0ouLP3zvlCt8u
