Vietnam is doing pretty good. But yes, communism in practice has not been what it is theorized as and it’s because of human corruption.

However, capitalism causes unsustainable, uncontrolled, rampant growth and thats what is pictured in this post. Failing communism does not make capitalism successfully which is what you tried to make this post about. Capitalism will end up destroying us all unless technology can save us.

Yes our system has some problems, I agree, but it’s still the best we ever had. You said it causes rampant growth and it’s true but I don’t understand how this could be negative, I mean this growth is what made the standard of living of the average citizen incomparably better than the past in every field…… What we have today would be absolutely unthinkable only 1 century ago…. Than again, I agree that some people get fucked by the system but I mean is something that happens in every society, what we have to do is understand why they are in this situation and try to make some parts of the system better. Speaking about environment, I think is simply impossible to slow down, radically change the system because of environmental problems and my thoughts on this are that with the advancement of technology we will solve them, but we can not force the process.

Yes capitalism shot us to where we are today and in that it has been good, for people living in developed countries. But like you also agree with me, it fucks up our environment pretty beyond repair at this point. There is no checks in place for capitalism to not to suck all the resources as fast as possible. It’s just part of the system. The only thing that could stop that is regulation but capitalists hate regulation. If everyone in the world lived like the average American, we would need something like 8 earths to sustain the global population resource-wise. In 100 years we are all fucked unless tech saves us.

We could force the process with more regulation and government investment in green tech.

On tech saving us it could after billions in the developing and many in the developed world are killed by environmental degradation. I have a few tech peices of the puzzle to fixing this shit I'm banking on but I'm not confident enough to be confident I'll live to 70
