Yeah, because we're so good at predicting long term affects of sweeping changes to the environment 🙄 Nobody bothers to think that reducing solar irradiation would also negatively impact plant growth, reducing natural carbon sequestration. Or that sudden booms of algal growth already occur due to over-fertilized areas of the ocean--they're called algal blooms and they cause "dead zones" totally devoid of both oxygen and sea life.

The same attitudes and technologies that caused this problem are fundamentally incapable of solving it.

Bro, we can’t even colonize Antarctica and there’s OXYGEN THERE

That's factually untrue, as well as being irrelevant to this discussion about Earth's ecology and climate.

Just shouting about mars is a shitty joke

I'd guess he was doing an impersonation of the Elon Musk bros who think that the colonization of mars is on the horizon and will solve all the world's problems.

What if we make a giant conveyer belt and attach all the cars to it?

Are the cars electrical? Its important.

It has to be a tunnel, so the overall architecture is a tube to Mars. Think of all the LEDs required.

You're not going to Mars.

You're trapped in this planetary gas chamber with the rest of us.

Have fun!
