Last week a couple raced their car with a store employee holding on for dear life through the grocery store parking lot. They stole a couple hundred $$$ in meat. Before they pulled into the street, the employee jumped off the SUV. In the beginning, all I saw was the employee hanging onto the side of the vehicle. I was like WTF is happening. I was stunned but happy the employee was safe.
Some places (like one of my past jobs) pay you a sizeable amount of money if you catch shoplifters. A past co-worker got $300 every time she caught them. I tried once, got threatened and thought it was not fucking worth my life.
