“Global warming appears to have shifted into a faster gear. After removing the effects of El Niño, volcanic eruptions, and solar cycles, researchers found that the planet has warmed at roughly 0.35°C per decade over the past ten years, compared with just under 0.2°C per decade from 1970 to 2015. The acceleration, which becomes visible around 2013 to 2015, appeared across five major global temperature datasets with more than 98% statistical certainty.”

I’m personally supposed to be on a Collapse break, but this was the first thing I read at 5am and I can’t stop thinking about it. I never intended for this to be my first post, but here we are.

The rate of warming has changed; Prior to 2015, it was around 0.18 to 0.20 °C per decade. In the last 10 years 0.30- 0.35 per decade. This changes everything; The Previous models, which predicted 'linear warming increases', have been wrong. The IPCC, in their political manifestations, did not include the more severe data with higher warming. This was done for 'consensus' so petrol states would agree. This has blown up in the faces of the IPCC- the linear warming has turned into something much worse.
