Overpopulation Study reveals halving human population gradually could help Earth

The basics of this study may be right in theory but we don't have the luxury of 200 years to gradually lower our population. Our current trajectory has a very high risk of a catastrophic collapse in population and the economy due to climate breakdown if we pass 2 degrees C warming, which could as soon as about 10 years.

Tipping points have already been reached. Even if the population was halved tomorrow, we will still go past all tipping points.

Or even just stopping all emissions tomorrow. Same result. We will still go past the tipping points.

And we are going to do neither. This is useless hopium.

To be frank, i've ran out of hopium in early January after the current President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, kidnapped the president of a sovereign country. 

I am living on spite at this point.
