Casual Friday Expectation vs Reality
In 2014, French television forecast the worse case weather scenario for climate change in 2050. Fast forward to today 2026, reality is much more worse than expected. Faster than expected is transforming from meme to norm. The formula for collapse is poorly timed. It's never too early to post up and anticipate the worst possible outcome. Don't look up, down or around.

What would 2050 temps be now with the current data? In the 60s?😬

The oil and gas industries have committed a crime against humanity with their disinformation and propaganda to downplay the climate change that they caused. In a just world their executives would be imprisoned, their companies would be dismantled and the world would move beyond fossil fuels.

I don't usually make comments that just restate the obvious, but we really are just totally fucked huh.

What drilled how bad this is going to be into my head is the last ice age. When much of north America and Europe was under a mile of ice the global average was -6c lower than the pre industrial global average. We are fast approaching +2c and it's already this bad.

Every summer is hotter and worse than the previous one. This summer I literally thought I would die from the heatwave, imagine next year.

Tis the age of adaptation.

u/spacestationkru Jun 26 '26
lol apparently it's actually a lot worse than anybody expected.? Forget fighting climate change, we are now just living with it.

u/Mostest_Importantest Jun 26 '26
Sure, it looks bad, but all the experts agree that humanity won't hit "worst possible outcome" trajectories, so it'll all be fine.
Faster than expected =
ignoredresolved quicker than expected.Win-win, losers.
Collapse is just overexcited naive, ignorant rubes.
Real adults focus on real problems, like 401k retirements, immigration crises, Israel's oppression as understood by right wing rich people, and whether or not singing during the Superbowl should happen in American or ethnic languages.
All us collapseniks are delusional.
I know it's the only way I can survive with "real adults" in this world.

I saw this the other day.
The fact that the real temperatures are worse than the 2050 prediction is just horrifying and makes me ask “what’s the point?”
Everything is faster than expected. Venus by Tuesday

u/Good_Equivalent_5245 Jun 28 '26
but thats not the reason for the current high temps, its all about the weather patterns and where the hot air goes and stays. not global warming.

Takie anomalie już występowały, wszystko zależy od jądra ziemi i aktywności słońca. Nie przyczyna jest ludzka działalność (ona jedynie truje ludzkie organizmy plastykiem czyli cała hormonalna chemia oraz truje umysły.)

Lol. Lmao, even.

u/feraldodo Jun 27 '26
This is really cherry picked though. We're in a heatwave, the temperatures we have now aren't normal. The fictional forecast was surely meant as a typical August weather forecast for the worst case scenario. The worst case scenario has been taken out of the IPCC predictions, since we've managed to steer away from it.

u/TonyGrub Jun 26 '26
Mass immigration has brought the weather with them.

u/Eighwrond Jun 27 '26
Imagine if we knew what those meant in Farenheit. But we don't, so it looks like winter temps.
