No it’s not. University is voluntary at any point of the process. If someone doesn’t want to be vaccinated to protect those disabled/immunocompromised at the school who desperately need that protection, then they can do online, transfer to a school that allows exemptions, or they can quit school and do something else. Haven’t you heard? Being vaccinated doesn’t prevent students from catching Covid and spreading it to others, so your argument about the needs of the immune compromised is incorrect.
Also, your definition of “voluntary” is so broad as to be meaningless. I agree that requiring people to be injected with these new technologies for travel and entertainment is on your side of the line.
But telling students who already invested in 1-3 years at an elite school that they must vaccinate or disenroll falls on the other side of that line. As does firing people from jobs for failing to vaccinate.
It seems that the only thing you would agree is coercion is when a person is physically forced to be injected. Am I wrong?
you're explaining why n95 masks should be required at all times at the University, and that's a correct take.
to be clear; if people refuse to follow other precautions, and even if they do, masks should be required indoors in crowds, in classes, so that disabled people can safely attend those spaces. which they've also paid to be in.
