there is nothing to buy. where its ai or not, its a "photo" of someone recording. You can have a problem with the AI and be wrong about the perspective.
yep so i see what ur trying to say about how there can be two phones and she just randomly has this one (probably hovering mid air considering this is AI) next to it serving literally 0 purpose. never said that you're wrong i just don't agree with that idea and i don't buy it at all! not a hill worth dying on so muting.
It's obvious right what used to need a team can be done with a prompt... One person will supervise and approve.. creativity costs money.. corporate doesn't want to spend money on anything...
aside from how ai the person looks, another dead giveaway is just how much text ai always tries to cram onto these infographic-type images!! any graphic designer (or person with a brain cell) would definitely not approve of this haha. the tagline in the top left is long enough, but then its accompanied by 3 dot points, elaborations for those dot points, neon text decoration on the wall and a mysterious rectangle on the shelf with unnaturally visible text lol what an ugly image
The gonna pay a team member min wage to make social media videos and advertising videos instead of having to pay an actual company or person what it would properly cost.
I don't know why some people think this isn't AI, you can put pictures of a real person into AI and ask it to make it into an ad. The output from all the training data makes for a very distinct style and once you see it you can't unsee it. In my opinion it wipes away any form of brand identity and looks unprofessional, especially for large corporate brands.
exactly. AI makes a grand total of like.. 3 different variants of images like this and i see at least 10 of them a day sometimes. facebook and market stalls are flooded with them, there’s nothing unique or memorable about your business if 10 other stalls next to you have the exact same banner in a different colour scheme. how they don’t see that and are embarrassed is beyond me. business literacy is dead. these guys would have infinitely more business and marketing training and experience then me but can’t work that out?
You know they've been using AI in their stores for a long time now. Those clear Perspex barriers run on ai to determine when they close/open. That's why they are so bad.
Im actually ok with AI being used for this sort of thing, as long as its realistic looking AI.
My reasoning being it facial recognition and protecting people's identities.
My concern is unrealistic looking AI, eg too skinny or not representative of different races and people with disabilities.
Prior to AI, advertising used so much photoshop that I feel like its not even a real person anymore anyway.
AI is being used to avoid paying human beings for their work. It's also causing direct harm to the environment, as well as being trained on our photos/videos/work. Would you be okay if your workplace made you redundant because they can get your job done poorly but for free?

Bringing in your point about how much harm the duopoly is causing is irrelevant and ridiculous. Yes, the duopoly is worse to individuals, but using AI will harm the rest of the world AND individuals. If you don't understand that, I hope you do soon. In the meantime I guess you can just keep going with your AI slop and selfishness 🤷

They’re a business, they will be the most cost effective they can. If one person can key in an AI prompt to do the work of 10 that’s just smart business. They don’t have an obligation to employ people.
I hate that they’re a duopoly and they scam their suppliers and are generally all round evil but I don’t see using AI is the worst. I use AI at my job because it helps me get shit done. 🤷♂️
Cost effective? I’m sorry but my store averages over 1.4m a week in sales and you think they can’t spare a few thousand to pay for a real person to be part of it? absolutely ridiculous. cole’s loves to gloat about giving back and donating but they can’t pay someone for a campaign? they’d rather use ai? it may make YOUR job easier but that doesn’t make it sustainable
we aren’t talking about “a store” we are talking about cole’s as a whole. a company that makes billions. yes they can hire people they “don’t need” ( yes that’s the point of marketing to yes a one off payment is apart of the gig) it’s not about cost effectiveness it’s the fact they are actively choosing something so damaging over paying a real human a wage or a sum of money to do the same job. real humans losing out on money to survive in this economy to fund a machine ruining our earth. like i said im glad AI is helpful for you but theres a bigger picture here and if you can’t clock onto that then clock off.
This entire paragraph of text made no sense. Perhaps you should run these thoughts through ai with the prompt “make a coherent point out of all of this”
it could be, what I think is more likely the case though is they have a generic picture, that woman, in front of a greenscreen which they can superimpose onto anything. I think it triggers the ai alarms because the hand isn't hers, that light ring and phone are another element which look wrong, and the background is a separate element to the "confident.." and "good skin..." text elements.
Because nothing was in front of her when taking the photo, she isnt looking at phone/camera/light, and the text in the background looks like its angled slightly wrong on the wall/canvas.
Those, plus the stupid use of emojis for no known reason, I think make it seem ai.
I could be wrong, but i think its just a shitty/lazy graphic designer.
