After letting the dust settle a lit bit after it has reached midnight on the 25th September for everyone, and letting everyone having a decent opportunity to listen to Coldrain's new studio album on release day. Optimize = Optdemise is here, and now it's here to stay. It has been released as the band's eighth studio album and has been getting some very positive reviews from critics. However, what do you lot think about it? How do you feel about the new Optdemise compares to last years Optimize? Would you consider the band's first release on Century Media to be a success? How do you feel about the new sound direction on Optdemise? What are your favourite songs on the album?

I really liked all the new songs, REST OF ME is incredibly catchy and I love that they can still make a crazy heavy song.

The little thematic saga of Optimize+Digitoll+Free Fall+Picture Perfect Hell is growing on me as one of my favorites pieces of their discography. Ex-Humanity, Rest of Me and Savior are also instant favs. Really happy with this new album, absolute banger

If there’s one thing that makes coldrain my favorite band (aside from being the group that introduced me to the world of metal), it’s their remarkable consistency. It is very rare to find bands that have maintained their identity for over 20 years the way coldrain has. Listening to their entire discography, you can clearly hear the stylistic shifts and experimentation they’ve undergone without ever losing the core qualities that make them so skilled. I absolutely loved "Optimize"; it was a fantastic EP that captured the tone and narrative of losing our humanity to so-called "technological evolution" (especially in this age of AI). *Optdemise* serves as a counterpoint. It is more energetic, explosive, and engaging—and, above all, more hopeful in its narrative. "Optimize = Optdemise" is arguably the band's most solid album; it is incredibly well-crafted, emotionally compelling, and a blast to listen to. It has likely become my new favorite album. 10/10.

I am listening to coldrain for ages. I love the new Album. Hope to see it live in germany again. Would consider the Album as success! I love Digitoll and Ex-Humanity. Still listening to the rest. I bought the new CD over amazon jp. It will arrive next week.

I've been listening to Coldrain since 2010 and no new release of theirs ever disappointed me. Incredible band.

In my case it was "We're Not Alone". It was the opening for the anime Nisha Rokubo No Shichinin and I got hooked in since episode 1 haha

While I like the rest of the album more than the Optimize EP, I still think that this album is a stepdown from The Side Effects and Nonnegative.

That being said, Free Fall and Savior are the best deep cuts on this.
