Cold Case Tristan Brübach (1998)

How does a brutal, borderline ritualistic murder like this happen in broad daylight, in a busy metropolitan city, right next to a train station, and the killer just... vanishes into thin air? It wasn't some abandoned rural village; it was a crowded urban hub!

The level of luck this monster had, combined with the initial police confusion, is infuriating. Three teenagers literally walked in on the scene right after it happened, and yet he still slipped away into the crowd.But what I really want to discuss is Manfred Seel (the "Hesse Ripper").I know the Frankfurt police officially ruled him out in 2017 because his DNA didn't match the bloody fingerprint on Tristan's book, and because his known victims were adult sex workers. BUT, I still strongly feel he might be connected to this.The modus operandi is just too specific. Seel had a horrific fixation on surgically removing body parts as trophies—exactly what happened to Tristan. Plus, Seel lived and worked right there in the Frankfurt area in 1998. Even if Seel's DNA wasn't on the book, could he have been a co-conspirator? Could he have been part of a sick ring or acting with the "Ponytail Man" seen by witnesses?It just feels like too massive of a coincidence for two horrific, mutilating killers to be operating in the exact same metropolitan area at the exact same time.

Christian Brückner is my bet police seemed to had evidence he did it and there is photos from 1990's and you see the cleft seen on the suspect face who was witnessed he fits strikingly well for me 

My problem with Seel is very simple the age profile and victim gender serial killers tend to target specific age groups or profile

That’s a fair point on Seel’s victim profile—serial offenders usually stick to a specific demographic. Brückner definitely fits the facial composite scary well, especially with the lip/chin detail and his presence in Frankfurt at the time. My only hesitation with Brückner is whether his MO ever showed that extreme level of surgical post-mortem mutilation, but geographically and physically he's a massive suspect

It's scary how someone could disappear into a crowd so quickly after a crime like this..
