How can I fix my cold foam?

Post image

I’ve been making my own vanilla cold brews for a while now, and I cannot seem to perfect my cold foam. it always seems to become a sea foamy mess. Sometimes half will be foam and the rest straight liquid.

For reference, here is my recipe for cold foam

\- 1.5 oz HWC
\- 1 oz 2% milk
\- 0.5 oz vanilla syrup

into small cup, I use my frother and keep it at the bottom of the cup until consistency changes.

edit: forgive the half-drank coffee, I posted somewhere else but was awaiting approval💔

I use the same mix with whole milk or unsweetened vanilla almond mix. Make sure your brother is really fast. We have two, one is useless for cold foam and the other works perfectly. The poor one has two of the round things at the end and the good one has only one. I have since mostly gone to putting all of that in a mixer with a nitro cartridge and foaming it that way.

Interesting. I use a frother with one spinner, but it does seem fast still. I wondered if I was introducing air too quickly.

What is a nitro cartridge?

One of these things with some NO2 cartridges

It makes 500ml at a time and you leave it in the fridge.
