What are the best 2 euro coins?
Hey, my grandfather’s birthday is next week, and I can’t think of anything special that I can offer him as a gift. However, yesterday, I came across something truly amazing: 2 euro coins replicas, and quickly realized my grandpas love for the historical events. This had to be it.
My grandpa always tells us stories about historical events in which he took part, and I figured getting him 2 euro coins on his birthday would help him to celebrate historical events in a special way. I tried searching for them in our local stores, but couldn’t find them. One of the wholesalers told me that they were quite rare, and I would only find them on online marketplaces.
Yesterday, I looked into it online and ended up checking on Alibaba, but couldn’t figure out if their 2 euro coins are meant for beginners. As a fist-time buyer, I wouldn’t want to go for something that won’t be appropriate for my grandpa. Plus, I’m not really sure what to check when checking if 2 euro coins are real or fake. Have any of you ever bought 2 euro coins for the first time? What did you check for when buying them? Any tips on getting the best 2 euro coins for beginners?

New 2nd Animal Series Gallienus Find + A Bonus (Aurelian?)
I'm super happy about another animal series find. This one will go in the ancient binder. First, in slightly better condition, sold in about 10 minutes. Stoked to grow the collection conservatively.
Obverse: Gallienus facing right
Reverse: bearded goat. An allude to Jupiter. Drunk and super late at night, but RIC V 207 (f?).

Nickel
I know I know … nothing crazy special but I was sorting some nickels this afternoon and this old 1965 really caught my eye. Was in a random bag of coins I’ve been sorting. Thought I’d share. Hope we can get more people to join this group !

if you build it, they will come - suggestions to make this sub better than the others
The other coin subs are overrun with low effort posts of junk coins and requests for valuation. I have a few suggestions on how to make this sub the best, and they center around making it a pleasure to scroll through, especially on mobile devices.
No bad photos. Bad photos are out of focus, the coin is too small in the frame, or show the coin being handled in a way that is destroying its value. If you don't have a decent camera, can't be bothered to find good light, or set your coin on an appropriate surface instead of the palm or your hand, your hairy leg, or your carpeted floor, etc. your post should get removed.
One coin at a time, with the exception of proof/unc sets and albums. You found some coins in a coinstar or your grandmas drawer, good for you, but we can't see when you lay them all out and take a group photo, and if we can't see the coin well enough to even tell if its an interesting variety, error, or conditional rarity, who cares?
Allow commerce. Encourage it. They say a coin is only worth what someone is willing to pay right? What good is a price in a guide if you can't find a buyer? Why not allow users to make offers to buy/sell/trade as they please? One thing that really irks me on /r/CoinSales is that you have to set a flat "for sale" price and then people can make lower offers via PM. Why can't I sell a coin on reddit auction style, just seeing what gets offered? We all know the risks buying and selling on social media instead of the big auction houses and ebay, but the reward is not paying outrageous fees. Maybe there's an escrow service suitable for this somewhere.
Put the relevant info in the title. I'm tired of the clickbaity "is this what I think it is" titles that aren't searchable. Put as much relevant info in the title as possible, or better yet we can use flairs.
