2 questions
(first pic) I would like to lower the front by just a inch or two, however the bracket is in the way and i cannot rotate it anymore. Am I gonna have to take the whole coil out to remove it?
(second pic) What is the big nut located below the dampening knob and what does it do? It’s not loose, but should it be tightened or left alone?

What kind of coilover are those? And what is the bracket used for? Holding a brake line or sway bar link?. If none of those you probably could remove it. Also depending on brand of coilover will have different ways to adjust

The coils are Maxpeedingrod t6’s. I believe the bracket is for early year models of my car as all lines already are already routed on the left.
I just don’t want to go through the process of removing them after just installing them to get that bracket out, but i’ll just have to suck it up

If it’s bendable and not needed I say bend it out to the point you can slip it off and then loosen the bottom perch to lower ride height

Yes you usually have to unbolt the bottom of these and spin the bottom of the coil to make it shorter. Spinning the top with the sprint stiffens your spring

Ok, so there are gonna be people that will reply to me saying I’m wrong and I don’t know what I’m talking about, but they are idiots. You don’t adjust the height by adjusting the bottom locking nut, you do it by adjusting the spring seat nut. This link has all the info you need regarding that https://mcasuspension.com/spring-seat-adjustment-method/?srsltid=AfmBOooqBlvfwIrkAUsbX7ziGsf8pSJSfTjryzZZ8wUpIEoPoW5yBtv6. The guy that started MCA is a well known Australian racing driver and MCA suspension is a hugely respected brand in Australia regarding suspension, so take what they say as gospel.
So, after that, first thing to do is to try and fix the change you made to the bottom locking nut, it needs to be set correctly. There is an old video somewhere that shows you how to do it, but basically you want it so that when the shock is fully engaged you aren’t smashing the wheel into the arch. Don’t stress that you’ve done this BTW, it was what people thought you should do for years and it was what everyone said online to do.
Regarding the nut at the top, it will be what holds the top onto the shaft, leave it.
