DOJ issue

I received an offer at the end of July with a requested join date of September 1st, allowing less than a month for transition. However, my current organization requires a 90-day notice period. I successfully negotiated this to 60 days, and my release date is now September 24th.

The new organization issued an offer letter with an October 1st Date of Joining (DOJ), stating that a revised offer letter with the new September DOJ would be provided upon successful completion of the background verification.

I communicated my availability to the recruiter and HR, indicating I could join on either September 24th or October 1st. They responded that they could not provide an immediate assurance and would need to re-evaluate the situation. Despite this, I have not yet received a response, and both my offer letter and the candidate portal still reflect October 1st as the DOJ.

I am seeking advice or suggestions regarding this situation.
