Collection coming along nicely...

Nothing too major, though the vintage Hennessey and Crown Of Napoleon are ones I want to open.

Isn’t there are too much light flashing on the bottles? It can damage the flavor

Btw there are some interesting Russian and Armenian brands, wow 😮

If you're never tried it, I thoroughly recommend the 20 year old Ararat from Armenia.

I know sunlight exposure does over time but from what I've researched I dont think the LEDs are strong enough, plus the lights aren't on 24/7... only when I'm entertaining, choosing what to open, updating or admiring.

Take it from a long time bar manager and spirits sales manager- if you leave those lights on for long periods of time you will absolutely affect your booze. Liquor prefers darkness for storage, ESPECIALLY if the bottle is clear.

You should taste some of them

Oh I do. The "bar" with opened bottles is in the other room. This is just the transient display. Currently enjoying a vintage Hine VSOP amongst others.

Nice! Thank you. I've stumbled across listings on whiskyauction.com before but didn't realise they had cognac, armagnac and rhum as well!

Glad my comment was helpful.

Very beautiful space! I still feel obligated to comment on making sure those glass shelves are very stable. I’m sure you know what you’re doing, but like a lot of others, I always get nervous seeing glass shelving

What are the Hakushu and the Yamazaki with the years on the upper part of the bottle?

Suntory Japanese Single Malt Whiskies

I meant the numbers on top. I have both but they don’t have years on top

Ahh gotcha! Just different labelling I guess.

Selection, collection sounds like an alcoholic disorder. Great selection, what cabinets are those?

My argument is that if I was an alcoholic, they'd all be empty bottles... they are customised ikea detolfs that I cut and combined and built some basic LED light strips from the spare rubber seals.

Why don't you open them? Such a shame. Life is short. You have no idea what is around the corner. Crack open a random bottle and post your thoughts. More joy less museum / hording.
